It’s that time of the year again — when Stefano Pilati, the creative director of YSL, takes his vision to the streets. For the eighth season in a row, YSL is distributing its Manifesto publication on the streets of Paris, New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, Hong Kong and, for the first time, Los Angeles.
On March 5, 2,000 lucky passers-by in each of these cities will have the chance to snag a tote bag containing a copy of Manifesto, featuring the model Arizona Muse shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin and original interviews, like the one excerpted below between Pilati and Hans Ulrich Obrist, a curator, critic and historian of art, and currently the co-director of the Serpentine Gallery in London.[http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/02/28/exclusive-first-look-ysl-manifesto/]
